The Pottery Studio at Farmer Parrs is run by Autism Initiatives (registered charity no. 702632) Autism Initiatives approached Farmer Parrs with the view of setting up a workshop, where adults with autism could develop their social and work skills in a friendly environment. The dedicated team who work the Pottery Studio provide a realistic work environment where they manufacture, produce and sell pottery on site. |

The work shop is one of the first in the country to be set up and has been a phenomenal success in the development of the students. Students travel up to 30 miles to attend work on a daily basis. The FRIENDSHIP APPEAL has been launched to raise £250,000 to extend the facilities to offer an opportunity for more people to attend and use this tremendous facility. Children visiting the farm or attending a birthday party have the opportunity to paint pottery in the studio, often assisted by the students. Groups and parties may book visits.
